Joan Fontaine once said this is one of her personal favorites of all her films. Known for its glorious score by Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Joan Fontaine's Academy Award-nominated performance, this 1943 classic is only shown at rare museum and university screenings and is unfortunately not available on DVD circulation due to complicated copyright issues. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for sharing this. I'm a big fan of the composer Erich Korngold, who scored this film, and it is one of the few remaining of his 17 films I have not yet seen. That said, recordings of the music from the film have been available since the early 70s.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
Thank you so much for introducing this rare and Wonderful film to me!!! It was quite a treat!
It is a very nice movie to watch because of litlle details and a fine dialogue.
I read somewhere it passed on TCM in 2011. Don't know if this is true. Anyhow, I'm watching it now.
Thanks and I will seed for a while.
